Features & Safety

Safety engineered into every QuickPlane.

The QuickPlane is engineered to make foam trimming as safe as it is fast — operator safety is designed in, from dual-start buttons and safety blocks to a chip guard, an inline air filter, and a rugged all-aluminum frame.

Total aluminum construction — the QuickPlane frame is built entirely of aluminum. Dual start buttons must be depressed simultaneously or the QuickPlane will not start. Two safety blocks are installed to help prevent accidental start-up. A guard helps keep trimmed chips away from the operator. An air filter helps keep contaminants from entering the air motor. Powerful, rugged 2400 RPM / 1.13 HP high-torque air motor, max 33.0 cfm at 90 psi.

Blades & Brush

The right edge for every foam.

The quality of the blade or brush is what makes a clean, precise cut — and durability is what saves you money over the life of the tool.

A solid, tool-hardened steel blade for most interior foam planing. Machined with a bevel for positive cutting action and minimal drag.

Standard Blade

Our Story

Carrying the standard forward.

For more than three decades, Dan Jansen built the QuickPlane into the tool foam-insulation contractors trust — one honest, American-made air tool at a time. As Dan steps into a very well-earned retirement, we want to say it plainly: thank you, Dan. The reputation you built is the reason this tool has a next chapter.

QuickPlane is now owned and operated by QP Tools LLC. Nothing about what made the tool great changes — the same virtually unbreakable blades, the same sturdy aluminum build, the same made-in-the-USA quality and hands-on service. We're proud to keep the standard exactly where Dan set it, and to keep it running strong for the contractors who depend on it.
